Shawna Davies - Chartered Professional Accountant

I am a small independent accounting firm and have been in the industry for over 25 years. I began my career working at a local public accounting firm wherein I started in reception and worked my way up while completing my schooling to become a Certified General Accountant. I received my CGA designation in 2000 and a degree in General Studies from the University of Athabasca in 2002. In January 2003, I changed career paths and started with the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue as a Consumer Tax Branch Auditor. In February 2007, I became a Senior Tax Auditor. In July 2011, I joined the team at Community Futures East Kootenay and became the Financial Manager while doing my own part-time public accounting firm. As of January 2019, I ventured into my own full-time public accounting firm… and here I am today!

In past recent years, I have been a consultant for the Columbia Basin Trust Non-Profit Advisors program as well as having been an instructor the College of the Rockies in various capacities since 1998. I currently now instruct my course through the Ground Floor Coworking Space in Cranbrook, and am offering webinar style of instruction as well as in class, hands-on instruction.

I offer complete accounting and tax related services for individuals, proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and non-profit organizations throughout the East Kootenays and beyond. I also offer complete training and support for QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. I can set you up for success by providing you with training at a pace that works for you so that you can maintain your own books. Alternatively, if you are wanting to focus on your business, I will provide you with complete bookkeeping and payroll services throughout the year. At the end of your fiscal year, I can complete your tax preparation and related tax planning. I provide a one-stop-shop for all your accounting needs – from start to finish.
